Technical Can't get into 1st gear

Our 1.6petrol 2001 model is really difficult to get into 1st & 2nd gear especially after a run. When cold it's not too bad just slightly baulks in 1st but after a long run when everything is hot it becomes impossible to get in 1st and nearly as hard in 2nd. Third gear and above is not affected at all. Once you get it in gear the clutch control to pull off is no different than normal, car does not drag forward when sitting in traffic in gear. Anyone have any ideas PLEASE.

Hi there. Had a similar problem with mine ages ago, but with reverse. Bulked into reverse and all other gears seemed fine with no noticeable change in clutch pedal. Turned out I needed a new clutch at 37,000 miles. Sorry mate. Had job done at Northgate Fiat in August 2006 £443.79. Hope this helps.
