Styling Can I take this off? If so... HOW?

Hey guys.. just wondering...
can i remove the vinyl/ plastic cover from the door pillar.. the one on the outside between the front and rear windows. i know you can on other cars, but on the stilo it looks quite well fitted

and is it painted underneath in the same colour as the body? cheers

Its a pry-bar, we sometimes use the 4 foot one to take engines out of the F3 cars!

i thought if i just used a heat gun to soften the adhesive it would prize and peel off easily?

yeh, but make sure you dont get too close with the heat gun so that you burn it, hold it about 20cm away so you increase the core temperature instead of the surface temp.

Sounds a bit more subtle than a pry-bar!

mine was flaking a little bit when i got shut, and it wasnt body coloured underneath

its meant to be there to blend the windows into eachother.

will look awefull if left bare or colour coded.

some people go to great lengths to have something like it on their cars and you want rid?!

If I were to take it off, I'd maybe be tempted to repaint it a gloss black or something, but not sure if it'd look good the same colour as the rest of the car :chin:

Ah, I'll blame that on me being a bit slow witted this morning forgetting to look at your screen name and all that
