Nutty about Pandas Infected by Panda virus and OPD
Just got Daffo back from the garage. Total cost £440.
So the cambelt was £340 which I think is quite OK these days.
I am told the cam belt was a tooth out, and I have the old aux belt back and it is shagged. I now question whether either of the belts were changed 5 years ago as stated in the service record (by Inchcape Toyota) The cross threaded plug is sorted and the car has been thoroughly checked for water leaks and given a clean bill of health.
The old aux belt not worth keeping as perished and VERY badly cracked to the point of disintegration.
Im pleased with the bill and the car feels very healthy. Pickup is now excellent. I need to deal with brakes which are in need of unsticking, and 4 tyres are in order with the obligatory tracking cost as well but we are on the road to being back in proper order. Hopefully I will feel up to doing the brakes tomorrow.
