Right,

So just been to another mechanic regarding the whining noise from the possible alternator. He took the belt off and said the noise was still present (see videos) so the garage who fitted the Cambelt and water pump must be lying saying it's the alternator. My friend who is a mechanic, plus one of his co-workers said it is definitely a Cambelt issue, he can adjust the torque on the belt for £40.

Can't be bothered going to back to garage who fitted the Cambelt and pump as they have already said there is nothing wrong with it and might be a bit funny about it.

This is what I suspected in your previous posting.
If you are not going back to the original garage and you trust your friend/mechanic , then best let them check it.
Better than carrying on with it too tight or a water pump or guide failing etc.

I got in contact with the garage that fitted it today and they said bring it back to them next Saturday to strip it down and recheck the tension etc.

Definitely think it's the Cambelt though don't want to look stupid next Saturday if it's not haha 🤣

I know the guys who did my belt well. They definitely know how to set the automatic tensioner. Talkedme through it. They changed the cam belt tensioner again. Offered free but we split it. I think its the the cam belts or cheap water pumps. Its either fit a Fiat kit, or bear it until the next belt change. I wouldnt keep chucking money at supposed fine tuning ops.

Just say you were concerned as noise hasn't gone away and you tried it with alternator belt off and noise still there.
It should be easy with cover off to prove where noise is from.:)

So I could try and remove the cover myself and see if that makes the noise louder coming from there? How do I remove the cover on my Panda Pop 1.2?

I would just let the original garage have a look, if you do look at it, they can say you have caused the problem.
Just say the noise is still there with alternator belt off, that way you have not interfered with their cam belt job.:)
