Technical Drive belt and Alternator pulley

Well you can't change an alternator pulley, the're connected to the alternator and come as one whole unit (unless i'm corrected by someone else). The noise is likely coming from the crankshaft pulley. I think you said somewhere above you had a new water pump? If so it'll be a consequence of that job.

The sound in this video is not that of a failing clutch in a pulley (cos you don't have one). But does sound like the of a whining bearing in the alternator itself...
So need a new whole alternator? This is covered under warranty with the used car I got I believe.

Makes no difference as the original poster has a sticking Bendix on the starter motor, the alternator is fine

The 1.2 used a dampened auxiliary pulley

I assume there is also a one-way clutch in the alternator otherwise it would get ripped to shreds

There certainly is in the panda 1.2 69hp alternator as in my old car, same engine and gearbox

They do occasionally fail (rare I know of 1) and also takes the auxiliary pulley out to

Maybe the 500 different, I doubt it though
