Hi,

Thinking of getting my clutch replaced.

Rather than having a low quality one put in I was looking at buying a LUK clutch kit for about £52 and have a garage fit it.

Has anyone done this before? any downsides to it?

Cheers.

Yes.
Garage can probably buy as cheap as you or cheaper and if they don't supply the parts it would be harder to get it fixed later if there is a problem.

Yes if you have an issue with the clutch and the needs to come back out you'd have to pay the garage again for the labour and try and Reclaim the cost from the manufacturer
