Yep as a package deal. The Coupe is running well now but needs at least £500-£700 in parts alone. The Bravo is ready for MOT as far as I can tell.

Very. :(

The project has so much potential. I won't mind if they don't sell the advert is mainly to keep someone who doesn't think having seven cars is a good idea quiet. ;)

That's good news, I wouldn't put the lowering springs you mentioned on however, unless you're getting shortened shocks to match...

I've just had new Gabriel shocks and Suplex springs (courtesy of Ebay) put on my Brava 1.2, it's got a really nice ride now with all the old harshness and crashiness gone. Not financially justifiable but worth it overall for the increased driving pleasure and presentability of the car.

My Punto GT is on coil overs and it's a pain in the faff on anything other than a perfectly flat "A" road.

The shield I made for the middle box sparks nicely and keeps tailgaters away though.

Rear shocks and the chance to pretend I'm a gynecologist for a while. For those who don't know the bottom nuts come undone with ease but you need a 15mm socket and long extension to get to the top bolt. Located thorough a hole protected by a plastic bung on the inner wheel arch you need to carefully extract the bolt. If it drops into the chassis rail chamber you will need a special tool to get it out. I used a fridge magnet held on the end of a bicycle cable surround with duct tape.

Half an hour later and it was time to tackle the front. About three in the afternoon I should be done in time for tea.

Nope as you can tell by the time of this post I was out there until half eleven. The top strut nuts were seized on, one of the bolts fell into the bulkhead and the magnet on a cable trick didn't work because they are aluminum. The drive shaft popped apart and split the brand new cv boot. But it's all done now and what a transformation. The shocks weren't bad at all and good for MOT and the road but all the new bits have come together to make the car feel so good I've deleted the for sale advert.

So if anyone wants my Alfa Spider...

Two paydays and a month to get the car ready for a charity track day on the 18th November.

That's realistic. :)

Although my Bravo will have some company later in the week. ;)

I have a charity track day to attend next month and the Cinquecento was a no go due to being the most dangerously bodged together car I have ever owned and as my Bravo has the Michelin Pilots I'd better get that ready instead. :)

Yep. As my engine has never leaked oil I was under the car painting the front subframe to keep the surface rust at bay.

I made a hole and welded it up. :)

Tool of the job today was my big hammer. :worship:

But not because I used it to hammer anything but as a mount for my bike lights as it was getting dark.

Now it's lighting my shed as I put my tools away.

My new arrival.

Another Bravo HLX

But not just any old Bravo. This is a one owner from new, 63,000 mile, Tolstoy history filed, show stopper. That's pretty well known here...

She felt a bit tail bias on the way home last night and I didn't think much of it. Just tyre pressures where she's been stood perhaps. I opened the tailgate to find a boot full of parts...

...worth more than twice the "undisclosed" sum I paid for the car.

A few minor issues...

...patch on the end of the driver side sill and rear half of the passenger side sill. I'll be after two new ones though (road trip to Italy to get those) and the lower valance panel...

...needs a little attention. I know I'll have to make that from scratch.

One major issue with the Bravo is my yellow one has a CD multi-changer under the back seat and this one doesn't so I had to change CD's like a ruffian. :slayer:

"undisclosed" don't even bother to ask I will not divulge.
