aye defnitly got the right ones, i work in ripspeed so just ordered them through Spax, double checked our data base with the catalogue. looks a lot diferent being tht wee bit lower, i hate when the wheels are inside the arches, this way it just sits perfects and no problems over ramps or anything :D

yea theyre good quality springs, slightly cheaper than competitors but no less in quality, i sell them to quite a lot of customers, i think the reference for the 1.2 stilo is SO10047 or something like that. ill double check later as i think i still have the box in the garage with fiats excuse for springs inside, lol:yuck:

I did not notice anything amiss with the front suspension. However, at the first MOT, the broken springs were picked up. When they were replaced, I found the car was riding very low and damaging the front trim and the plate under the engine. It was subsequently discovered that the springs supplied were not correct for a JTD multiwagon. It turned out that the wrong springs had been put into the correctly marked packaging. My local garage sorted it all out FOC.(Not a Fiat Dealer)

well wahey, on my trip home from work to night, my drivers side spring failed. With a big bang.

The bodge worked but the snap is round the back of the strut, out of the way of the tyre.

How much does this usually cost to fix, or is it worth shouting at fiat uk for them to pay?

I cant be bothered. Just got a quote of £100 to fix it today. I need the car so needs must
Well you did just ask!

A good Fiat specialist independant should charge the same or less and they can also arrange a claim (plus they know what they're doing)

Is that for just one spring as I'd make sure both are replaced?

This is just one spring, i know I should be getting both done, but from the posts t looks like Id end up paying for that if fiat covered this, and replacing just one is spending money i just currently dont have anyway.

Dont really wanna spend time arguing with Fiat Uk like i had to with my gearboxes, so im just going to pay for one, been assured it should be ok, and should last long enough until i get shut of it
