It's perhaps a bit early to say, but this looks like another example of "peacefulness" from that great peace-loving religion. A case of older brother leading younger brother astray?

Ban pressure cookers? That's like saying, ban pens in case someone stabs someone with it. Or ban cars in case someone crashes into someone with it or fills it with bombs.

Back in the olden days when I were at school, some nob had a propelling pencil (the type where you press the end & it releases grips so a stick of lead could come out.
They inserted a large needle, held from coming all the way out by a piece of thread.
Innocent pencil - deadly weapon.
