Been test driving

Mileage that I cover has dropped right off in the last year or so......

Audi seems sensible choice, but the devil is telling me to go for the 200sx....

Nice drive, but when you push it, it's a drivers car....

argh!!!! why did I start to look!!!

Don't write Leon's off. I have the original Cupra version (180BHP), not the R admittedly, but it's an excellent car. Well equipped and fast. Same dash as the A3 aswell although the actual materials aren't as good. Quite cheap now aswell, since the R depressed prices.

Good luck test driving!

Had a Serena with the SR20 engine (2ltr 16V N/A 130 BHP) smooth and very torquey. Cheap 3K SX200 and tune it up with the leftover cash... would be my choice  I miss the amusement park ride style screams of my passengers in the serena whilst smokin the rears round roundabouts on opposite lock

Beemer didn't have FSH and was an S plate I think....

It was an auto as well, but being in sport mode made no difference to speed or accleration.

It was on a forecourt and happened to see it, so thought, Will give that a go. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I have been out all day in the TDCi 130 Mondeo from work, and with slippery roads, that is struggling to put the power down, So I am thinking, how bad will the 200sx be in these conditions? Fun to start with, but will it become tiring? Although saying that, would the Audi become equally boring as it would be so predictable?

Did the insurance quote for the 200sx today though. Norwich union did quote me happy. £630 fully comp including business use living on my driveway. renewal on the Jtd is £530 for 12 months which is with Admiral. Oh, and the Jtd with Norwich union came down to £350!!!!

Just need to check I can really afford it now!!!!

I test drove a 328i too about a year ago, E36 type, wasn't much impressed with either engine sound or performance, was a manual though, imo the newer E46 32v 2.0 are have more torque (but they probably don't) Also the coupés go through rear suspention bushes every other year. Also, remember bmws aren't actually that fast, especially the 3 series (ok the M3 and the 330i's are quick)

Nissan SX is a good car, never driven one, but they always seem to go nicely.

Another car seriously worth looking at is the audi RS4 or even the 2.0 quattro, despite clarksons comments about having the engines infront of the headlights they're good cars... (if you want the same car for less get the passat V6-4Motion, and if you want a smaller hot hatch the golf R32 or V6-4Motion are also good options)
