Was good to get along and meet you all. I might have spent the whole day saying my pristine Riviera was going to stay stock but I seem to have come away with a GSR induction kit on it and my old airbox in the boot...I'm waiting for some photos and a vid to finish downloading and I'll put it up.

Didn't test mine on the rolling road before we changed it but with the induction kit on I got a pretty impressive 146.9 BHP on the first run and a 145 bhp on the second. Torque was pretty flat through the revs, dipped around 3000 rpm then hit 100lb/ft. I'll scan in the readout when i get chance but pretty impressive.

Sounds lovely now too. :D:D:D

Well photos as promised...

...and a yellow diablo I saw on the way home in Windsor, not a great shot but it was one handed at about 70mph...

I had a great time, as usual it was good to meet up. I was mightily impressed with the induction kits, and were it not for the fact that I had to get back to Notts I would have probably cracked and got mine done. As it was I was really happy to get my discs and pads with a nice 30% off. Thank you Peter!

Stew! I can't believe you got yours done - you were absolutely resolute about keeping it stock. Not even going to upgrade the radio?!?:D Did you get a re-map as well? and also were you found to be running lean afterwards?

Hi all,

It was good to meet you all yesterday. Enjoyed seeing everyone's mods.

Also a big thanks for the bbq!

Like Stew having said I'm going to keep my balck riviera stock , I'm very tempted by one of those induction kits!

How much are they going for ?

regards

Rich

P.S - didn't realise but protective shutter on my camera was sticking so all pics are slightly eclipsed!

I am really pleased that everyone had such a good time, the weather was kind to us, food was good and company was great!

A very special thanks to Kiry (ROGUE) for his efforts at the BBQ - top food (y)

And also a very big thanks to Oldschool (Peter) for laying the day on for us (y)

It was great to get 8 b's together in one place, my only regret was not being able to get them all lined up for a photo shot, still - there is always next time!

There were some quite interesting results from the rolling road, ROUGE running standard with no kit managed 136 bhp, I managed 139 bhp with the GSR induction hose (but mine is still work in progress), KC3 managed 151bhp with GSR kit, re-map, fuel 'adjustments' (better spec pump etc) and supersprint manifold but most surprising result was Stewjohnst who added the GSR kit (with an otherwise bolt standard car) and managed to achieve 146bhp on the rollers!!

I am finding that the GSR kit has made a big difference to low the way my engine is running (although its only been on for a day), tickover is much smoother - not hunting any more and I am assuming that it 'cos it is sucking in much cooler air from lower in the engine bay. I have also found that at mid revv's she is pulling much better, can't wait to see how she will run once I have the new filter and extension!

Enjoyed an enthusiastic drive back with Rosso Racer and Stewjohnst through the Berks and Bucks countryside, although we were outgunned by a Fezza 360 and 997 having a blast down the Uxbridge road near Black Park!

All in all a good day out, thanks to all of those who managed to take it, thanks again to Pete and Kiry and my humblest apologies that we did not get a chance to go for a blast out but I will organise and lunch and drive soon! (y) :D

Piccies to follow.............

Hey there,

Great meeting all of you - was a nice day and the GSR kit sounded awesome once fitted. That dog was so cute and playful!

Hey fella, also nice to meet you (although I am sure we had met in the past! - Brooklands? Bristol, ACE????)..........

Also nice to meet the chap with the diesel Punto, very stealth - although I am not sure he intentionally had rusty doors! - Mind you, he was success story of the day - 80bhp to 130!!
