Technical Barchetta engine management ECU

does anyone know for sure if the ECU on a Hitachi wiring loom fits an ECU on a Bosch wiring loom? I'm aware that 4 components are required to change the ECU, including the matching red key etc.

1) Are you asking if the Hitachi / Barchetta wiring is the same as that of an unspecified Bo0sch ECU ?

2) Are you asking if a Bosch ECU can replace the Hitachi ECU (wiring compliant) ?

3) Are you asking if a Bosch ECU can replace the Hitachi ECU with regard to full functionality ?

Hi s130, I have owned a Barchetta with the Bosch wiring loom for 25 years. I've just broken a Barchetta with the Hitachi wiring loom for spares.
I'm wondering whether I can use the Hitachi ECU, along with the other necessary components, red key etc, if my ECU ever fails.
If it is incompatible with the wiring on my car, I'll sell the complete set of components to someone who needs it!

As far as I know the Hitachi ECU Pin Outs / Connectors have not changed since the original first production runs.

Sorry, that isn't answering my question!
I'd like to know if the Bosch ECU etc can be replaced with the Hitachi ECU etc if mine packs up?
If not, there's no point in me keeping it as a spare. Might as well sell it to someone who needs it!
