Technical Backbox affecting MPG?

Right the middle box was swapped for nice middle pipe when it was kaput
i was told the backbox was dead too - but i didnt believe them anyway and refitted with new center
Anyway - Im pondering now.... my mpg went up after the first repair, but its still sucking....

the box does sound like a rice shaker.....

Could that be the cause?

stick a sock up the tailpipe
see where its leaking
remember if it is leaking it can go into the car as you drive and make you drowsy

its not blowing..... sounds like a wet fart tho....

i was just wondering if its ratteling the baffles are getting blocked?
