can anyone breifly fill me in on what's happening, as I am having to pay for internet usage in this hotel so......


whats happening with regard to meeting up to go down etc, I will be in sunderland (hopefully) by friday night, and would either go down friday night and stay (probably in car given current £££age/things to do/buy ratio) or convopy down on sat.

Getting there for 8.30.

I take it you will be parking in the main carpark, cos most people will be going straight on the stand.

May be able to clean, have to replace a knocking top joint on the OSF strut (second one i've had to change this year !), check the alternator (and probably replace due to knackered bearing after taking a water splash flat out yesterday )

Will leave stickers then, will have to remove at end of day anyway before rally i'm off to that night in Southampton.

I mean is anyone convoying down on early sat morning from UP north (I.e M6 or A1/M1 type direction, not really important as its only the last few miles that are difficult (directions and being in the right spot etc), and from previous meet experiance a convoy lasts about 1junction till everyone is spread out then we all end up doing about 45mph, when we could be doing more

the aa route planner reckons its just over 5hour drive from uni, and another hour from home , so I may end up driving from home to uni on friday late afternoon, clean car up and dump all my uni stuff, then drive down late evening, and dump into some travelodge on the M25 ring (of hell) or just sleep in car outside gates, unless anyone can suggest a better plan?

how many are on the stand now (bearing in mind mines nothing much special, its just pretty clean and majoritly clear of door dents etc)

I may be able to get there early now. My RR day at Milton Keynes has been put off for me as I have found a local company that can map the car this friday.

How's the parking at brooklands, is there enough room to park safely away from other motors etc ?
