Styling any got a spoiler fs??

Insurance is a pain in the butt whatever... I learnt that to the full extent yesterday.. but when it all comes down to it you have to understand the insurance companies.. they have been forced into this by the assholes who keep taking other peoples cars just for the fun of it instead of gettin off their lazy butts and working for something they can call their own...

WIthout escalating anything, if it really is just 1" longer, why bother?

I quote: bit different with an uno, but if thats your budget then ok!!

Well, if you can't afford to buy AND insure a spoiler, you can't afford the modification now can you?

I also quote: nah its ok, proberbly a little spotty kid, and i thought it was the stilo section

Yes, I am a little spotty kid unfortunately, I get 50p a week pocket money and always get personal about the way other FF members look. What surprises me however is that obviously your great age and experience hasn't allowed for you to have cheap enough insurance to afford a spoiler.

Also, it's no excuse to say "others do it, so I considered it too" - that's just passing the blame onto society.

James; you're lucky my friend, without proper internet access right now, a real discussion can't brew and I don't mind you staying impartial :p

The whole thing stinks of being a pikey/chavvy thing to do, can't afford to insure a modification, stick it on anyway, invalidate your insurance, who cares?!

*goes off to find values of discharge coefficients and to find out why my answer is 20x what it should be :(*

See the thing is, personally i've been crashed into an un-insured driver, so i know how to play it next time!

Assuming you crashed into my car...

1. I wouldn't let you leave the scene until i had your full insurance details, and your home address.

2. If Police were involved i would refuse to accept you being arrested until i was given insurance details. I would contact my solicitor on the scene if necessary.

3. If your insurance was invalid and you were charged, i would have sufficient details to take you to court to claim for repairs, damages and basically anything else i could get you for.

4. If that didn't work, i'd invest a few bob in a big f*cking bloke who'd come round knee cap you so you couldn't drive again. Destroy all your household goods you hold dear, and seriously vandalise you car in retribution. Oh and you'd deserve it!

Re: Back on topic...

I just love these threads, lol :)

I am tempted to get a rear spoiler for mine, although may just use dealer and be done with - funnily enough, the Abarth spoiler is an option on the 5-door cab, so MAY inform insurance company......

Re: Back on topic...

Quite a few insurers are MOD friendly, i personally use Lancaster-ins for my modded mini. Oh and i declared everything, right down to the green side indicators. Good MOD friendly insurance firms will ask you for pictures of your MOD's so they can give you a fair valuation, and you'll be better covered if anything does happen to you or your car.
