Another "what car to get next" question

i know that a few people have asked these questions already, but each has a different criteria, so heres mine:

Budget is 7k MAX

I want something quick, it can be a turbo/supercharged, but must be a fairly low insurance group (not 17,18,19,20) lol.

Econonmy doesnt bother me too much (after driving a 1.4 for 3 years)

One of the main things im looking for in the car, is obviously speed, but also the interior, i want something a bit luxurious sort of, leather seats etc, and something with a bit of style on the outside.

The car that almost fits in perfectly into this category is the alfa romeo 147 2.0 16v, it has everything i wanted, except its really not that quick if you compare to a 172/182.

But for some reason they clio's seem to be very expensive on insurance and its actually cheaper for me to insure a V6 clio than a sport clio??!?!?

I thought down the jap route, but alot of them are very high insurance, and the interiors are basic and manky!

Any suggestion let me know, come on donny lad i know u no something

oh and not a HGT, couldnt justify selling mine to get another bravo!

as for the rex, i so nearly bought one a while back, but the insurance is £2400!!
and even if i cud afford that i couldnt afford the ridiculous costs for maintenance on that rotory engine!

oh yeah and as the colt CZT is turbocharged, a remap is very much possible. im pretty sure that at least 35 ish bhp is possible with a remap which takes us up to 190bhp in a car as big as a slipper. bye bye 182.....

How new exactly? Is insurance inclusive of the 7K?

With your desired spec, performance, age and insurance group you're never gonna find the car you want.

Well like i said, for 7k i can just about get a facelift model of the 147 2.0 16v with good economy,not bad on insurance and a gorgeous interior.
BUT like i said its not that fast, only a ecu remap would bring it down to 8 secs 0-60 i rekon, so not that slow i suppose!

Are you looking for a 3 year old motor that can do 6sec 0-60's, 150MPH and give good MPG for under 7k?...I can't think of any.

mate, with all due respect, grow up, stop acting cocky, if your going to help then help,i didnt ask for someone to mouth off at my spec for a car, however resonable, or in ur mind, unresonable they are.

I said "it also is good at economy too", which is a bonus wether it was in my original requests or not.

MG TF 160 aniversary this little beuty can show an imprezza up no probs and can be tuned to 200bhp with no problems that makes it a very very fast car plus the fact you can get both supercharger and turbo kits for it.

corsa sri 1.8 and spend the rest of the money on a turbo kit that makes them fast as fuuuk plus they are dirt cheap to insure.

mercedes A210 evo they are bloody evil and they can be supercharged, tis what i was gunna buy but didnt lol i got the 140 cos they run on perfume lol

an ek9 civic or a jordan (drool) lol

tvr chimaera 4.0l lol

what about a coupe, get a non tubby then u have the style and performance without it being a bravo, my hgt did 140moh so not exactlky slow and acceleration aint bad either, can save urself a fair wedge of that 7 k too and insurance aint too bad, gp 14 or 15 i think

i was looking at an astra gsi turbo, 197 bhp look pretty cool and have a o.k interior with recaro's etc. good one for 7k is possible.

how old are you again? im 20 an my 156 2.0jts is costing a bomb on the insurance so i wouldnt hope for a super car if i were u

Matt, for 7k of my hard earned i dont think its too much to ask to be picky, whats getting over myself got to do with anything, were not here to judge, dont forget were typing onto a screen, anyone can act the big man, not naming any names though

I do quite like them cars seb, in know its been your dream for a while!

G5een, like you im only 20 so again insurance is a big issue, and the alfa isn't so bad, so at the mo i think thats top of the list!

For maybe 2k more i could get a mini cooper s, which i love, and can be highly tuned!

wee'l just see what i get for my car, ive had a fair few offers more than 3k shall we say!
