Technical Annoying noises!

Hi guys!

Noise 1 : A whirring that stops when you depress the clutch pedal - despite the clutch being replaced less than 2 weeks ago. I had this noise with the old clutch, making me think I may as well have stuck with it!

Noise 2 : A constant whirring ever since a new engine mounting bolt was fitted yesterday. The engine does not seem to be sitting right now, either - it's canted up on the right hand side as you face the front of the car. Is this playing a part?

Any ideas?

have you checked the gearbox oil level and quality of the oil?

check this before anything else.
the wiring that stops when you press the clutch might be because of low or dirty box oil. (pressing the clutch disconnects the gearbox from the engine so any gearbox noise will stop)

Yes - the mechanic showed me the old clutch and release bearing, so I could see the wear. Thanks for the tip re. oil change - sounds like the next job on the car.
