General alternator

hi my alternator seized up yesterday on my sei 1108
i cant seem to get my hands on an alternator from a breakers so am wondering what other fiat alternators will fit?

i dont want to have to go out and buy a new or reconditioned one as i am already gathering bits for my 16v conversion

According to seekpart24.com the Cinquecento and the new panda use the same alternator as the seicento.

Punto Mk1 55 I believe is the same as well.

I think the Punto has different mounts.

IIRC, you're going to have to use a Sei/Cinq one with the new engine anyway. If you have power steering, it makes sense to use one of the same output as the existing one.

problem sorted, i had another f**kd alternator from gf's sei so i took the bushes from the my seized alternator and put the in the alternator from my gf's car , gave it a bit of a clean up with a wire brush some wd40 a new alternator belt and problem solved iv already done 120 miles

just a note. pretty much all fiat alternators and all fire alternator's fit.

some have a rear mount that you just don't bother with (cut mine off just for the sake of it) and sometimes the pulley needs swapping for the one on the centos.

my alternator is from a diesel fiat of some sort.
