I think previous owners is a huge things, I bought my car on the basis that;
It had higher miles than others for the same price
It was older than others for a similar price
But it had only 1 previous owner from new, meaning said owner had driven all of the miles the car had ever done compared to the other cars with 2 or more owners and fewer miles.

Indeed! Previous owners would be important but you never find out the real figure!!!
I did with mine, enough to scare me! but at the same time.... its the future that matter and not the past. just like cars
