started driving in 1964 had many cars never owned a ford our local distribter said we never made money on cars, ONLY ON THE SPARES. now 2024 and on my 24 fiat never looked back mowermender
Yep prices sky rocketed on all cars in the last couple of years after covid, 2 years of very few new cars being sold the collapse of electric car sales and the cost of electric the lack of new diesel car options. Had all seen a big increasing in prices and so a big demand for keeping older cars on the road, if it costs £500 to pass an MOT and the car is only worth £500 then most people will bin it and buy a new car, but if that previously £500 car is now worth £1500 then it’s worth keeping it on the road for another year
