Only got the alloys the other week so I'm getting them lacquered before they're put on for good..

Already got:-
20% tint on rear 3 windows
17" fiat alloys on toyos
and thats it haha

Plans:-
Front licence plate vinyled anthracite
White light bulb headlights
Rear mudflaps and possibly front if I can be bothered cutting around the side skirts..
Possible red badge upgrade
HEKO wind deflectors
Front quarter windows blacked out
Lowered on Eibach Sportlines
and any other little ideas I get but thats all the main things for now until I get a permanent job anyway!

Yeah thats whatvi think I'll go for! I had an idea but I was just between springs or coilovers and after hearing horror stories from the coilies I think im just gonna get springs
And yeah ive got unlimited soace haha that's what im saying, what would i do without it!(y)

I got mine from the classifieds for £80, got a bargain as they only did 500 miles on a mjet haha
Venom Motorsport are usually well priced for springs

That is a bargain! Guess I'll just need to keep my eyes open, I cant use mjet or tjet springs on my 1.4 8v so im hindered a wee bit there as theres a few of them for sale haha
Yeah had a look on venom and it would come to 185..haha

Could always go for some coilovers so you have some adjustability :) Looking good though

Well ive been looking at JOM Bluelines and I always thought they were a bit out of the price inwant to pay but theyre only really £30 more than springs, im tempted but ive heard people getting more mechanical problems with coilovers..?

Yeah there's the dilemma... Springs will last you longer than your basic set of coilovers... but if you look after them well you should be fine... I've only just put mine on and they're good :) Very nice handling... more responsive than my abarth springs. Looks so nice when really low and If you have problems i.e. speed bumps, police, etc... then you can easily wind them up :D(y) As for looking after them i'm just coating the metal in grease every once in a while... Other than that spray them with wd40 every now and then to make sure no rust or dirt settles. :)

Nah think I'm definitely just going for springs the now, not got the funds for coilovers but cheers anyway haha!
You said you had abarth springs? What was the drop like? (is it a 1.2 you have?)

Fair enough :) Yeah i have the 1.2 (Low'n slow).

The abarth springs I were told that they'd give a 40mm drop... nothing of the sort (10mm max!) not noticeable and it actually came out higher than when it went into the garage!!! Had to wait for them to settle though... Good improvement on handling but still nowhere near as good as my coils :)

Remember Abarth springs are designed to lower the car with the heavier weight of an Abarth + engine. In a little 1.2 or 1.4 the weight of the engine probably isn't even half that of an abarth (complete guess), so the pressure on the springs is significantly less....thus lowering your car a lot less than they would on an actual abarth. So don't bother with abarth springs. Too many people fall into this trap. Go for Eibachs if you want a subtle drop to remove the hideous arch gap (like i did and many others). Or if you love your lows and want your car lookin' slammed go for coilies. IMO with coilies if your going to go for it, splash the cash and get some good ones like Weitecs, or Eibachs coilies (drool)

so if this is the case then theres no point in me going for tjet eibach springs if i have a 1.4 8v? wish i could afford decent coilies :(

hi mate i was looking to buy these bulbs for my 1.2 punto and was wondering how to find out what base i need i need to use (what H number haha)

you should be an H4 mate, H1 means it has 1 connecting prong on the bulb, H7 has two and H4 has the three, have a look first just by taking the connecting socket off the bulb, if it has three holes, its H4 (y)

yeah make a big difference, both visual and practical as cheap halogens are not great...personally recommend philips bluevison ultras or osram night breakers(y)
see youre from south ayrshire as well, where abouts?

I was looking at the night breaker plus. and from prestwick aswell haha! just noticed your info

what do you mean by the sidelights? ehm i live down the beach.

Well when you look at this picture of my lights

use.JPG

You'll see the dipped/full beam bulb and the smaller sidelight bulb, when your dipped beam is on the sidelight is also on, so if you have white/blue dipped beam bulbs and still have the standard yellow sidelights its really noticeable I reckon, like here (not very close up but this is with the standard sidelight in)

They're only W5W bulbs, this is probably what you're looking for:
NEW Osram Night Breaker PLUS H4 472 +90% 12v 60/55w + Free 501 Extreme White Sidelights: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
Ah right I'm in kings meadow, hardly even Prestwick haha
