Hello
I'm the lucky owner of a Punto Evo 1.4 8V from 2011.
I recently found that my boot was leaking water through a small "outlet" between two plates on the inside (See "Pic 1").
I looked all over the forums and found one fault that was similar.
He didnt find a solution though, as sealing the inside only will push the water further towards the center of boot.
We have been trying and failing until today when we discovered what we hope was the fault.
In the lower left corner of the tailgate, right besides the rubber seal of the actual door of the tailgate, there's a welding that seems to stop short. (See Pic 2)
The weld goes further on the opposite side, so it seems like a factory fault.
What we did to fix it, was to just seal the crack (it was covered in grime, so quite hard to spot) with some silicone. We did it along the line on Pic 3.
This has fixed it when we're spraying the rear of the car with a hose. If it happens again i'll post here, aswell as any new findings. I'm pretty positive this has been the fix though.
I just thought this might be nice for others to know, as this was really hard to find. This might also be relevant for other punto models.
If this has already been posted I'm sorry, but I haven't seen anything like this on this forum
Cheers,
Silas
