Guys found quite a few engines on eBay for my car one is from a trusted seller the listing is for a1.2 petrol bare engine sump block head only!? low miles too but this is gobble to me haha my 2011 500 head gasket has gone will this be enough to replace my engine? Or do I need anything else? I know my other auxiliary’s can be used with .... but what worries me is “sump block head only!! Can someone enlighten me..

I would buy the entire thing. Most even have the airbox on. Will make the fitting cheaper too.

If it’s just the block then it won’t include the head.

Be aware that the early engines from cars without S/S won't have the uprated alternator and starter that this system should have. I'd also be wary of putting a Euro 6 engine into a Euro 5 car (or vice versa); the ECU's are completely different and I've no idea what (if any) changes were made to the hardware.

For an owner without detailed knowledge, I'd be looking to find someone who'd take responsibility for sourcing and fitting the engine. That way, if something's not compatible, or there's a problem with the replacement engine, you've some comeback. If you buy a secondhand engine and it's not right, the seller may refund your money and/or offer you an alternative engine, but they're not going to pay for the labour to remove and fit it.

Could anyone post a few links of compatible engines from eBay that would suit my 2011 500 1.2 I would really appreciate the help I have no one else to rely on

This is why I recommended Club500Italia on eBay. They really know their stuff and break the cars themselves so can tell you exactly what you need. Their up on north somewhere but they do deliver most things.
Tyecastboy I found this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fiat-500...pe:1.2&hash=item288b017de6:g:PrcAAOSwc2Zd-634
what are your thoughts for my 2011? is this too new?

Baglady1990 just stick with them. If ebay page to be believed they look pretty organised and knowledgeable. They'll want your business and you'd regret buying an engine exc fitting elsewhere. Am sure if you explained you've got the Pop to run around in they may come and take your car away on a flatbed and you could get a phonecall saying it's done sooner than you think. (y)

I stand corrected on whether it would work after reading previous comments. I can highly reccomend them, they have helped me out several times. They only do 500s so they really know their stuff.

Yes I missed out with that one! I’ll keep looking but yes I was willing to travel up and have them fit it too! Another one will pop up I’m sure

Some ****er bought it while I was trying to find out [emoji817] it would fit and be correct!! Fuming

Sorry my Dad brought it for me today.

I spoke to rthem Friday and any 1.2 engine from 2008 will fit your's and my Fiat.

Hope you get something soon.

Just so you know, they ( Club500Italia) charge £250 to install new engine. Only issuers for me was it would cost me another £250 to have my Fiat transported up to them. My local garage is going to do it.
