As Venters tells it, the dualogic gearbox is indeed a manual gearbox with all the bothersome cog swapping and clutch stabbing done by electronically controlled hydraulics; quite different to how a true auto works, deployed by FIAT because it is mechanically more efficient and has less effect on fuel consumption. Your little rascal shouldn't stall. Is it a one off tantrum, or is it a regular embarrassment?
My guess at the moment is that either there is a mismatch in how the engine management system controls the clutch operation as you press the gas pedal to take off, or the throttle position sensor is just starting to develop a dodgy track at the point where the throttle is just opening. Either way, if it happens more than once in a blue moon it wants investigating by a knowledgable specialist and is probably not a DIY fix. It's not something I'd want to meddle with myself, and I'm not unused to poking spanners at cars.
So, not much technical help, but you have at least found yourself amongst sympathetic fellow motorists on this forum!
