Get a dremel or cheap facsimile thereof.
Cut a slot in said bolt head.
Use a ratchet with screwdriver bit in, exerting a fair amount of pressure straight down onto the bolt head to undo.
When it starts to come, work it in and out as you undo it.

I sympathise, these little torx screws in the tb can be a proper bitch when they get stuck.

I had to do this, took about 30 mins. Its the only way, why couldnt they use allen keys instead of torx screws!

i unscrewed em as muchas I could, then they got stuck and i buggered the head so I just got a drill with a metal drill bit and drilled down through the head of the bolt and just slid the sensor off. took 5 mins :).. then just got a new pair of bolts (proper headed ones, not star jobbies :p) from b&q.. 6mm I think, poss 5mm. job done.

Hi there Horney

Sorry to hear that you have a hard time fitting your new TB.

The reason the TB's comes with or without the potentiometer and Idle controller are that I get the TB's from scrappy's and Ebay so some time the potentiometer or idle controller are missing on the TB's.

Basically the TB's comes with no potentiometer or idle controller so it can be considered a bonus if one or both components are on the TB when it goes off.

If I had to buy new idle controller and potentiometer every time I sell a TB the price would be much higher. I like to keep prices low to make my products more attractive.

I hope you get everything sorted and get the TB fitted - hopefully you will post some more positive info on my product when you get everything sorted (y)

Cheers

Hey Tricker,

No problem I fully understand what you're saying and you absolutely right. I was just having a bit of a nightmare!

The TB looks superbly made and I'm really looking forward to using it in anger.

Nick

whats with calling them star jobbys there just torque heads are they not?

But I have two sets of the "star jobby allen keys" my car seems to be only held together with these!
