360 wifi hassle

okay,so i have an old pro 360 upstairs
use it as a media streamer with the wireless N add on
been working fine

the other night it wouldnt connect. just left it
next day tiried again and nothing.

so i took the adapter off and fitted it to the elite downstairs
still wont connect

with no security it connects
with WEP it connects
with WPA it wont connect,even though this was the setting before?
360 is up to date,key is 100% correct and other stuff connects fine on WPA

so duff adapter?

I doubt it. The security will be handled by the driver within the console. Did you notice an update or something go on?

Is there any difference between WPA1 / 2?

If all else fails stick to WEP but enable MAC filtering.

Ive tried the 3 variants of WPA available on my router.
there was no update on the console. I dont play on the machine so dont really log in on it
just boot it up and go straight to videos
just weird its been working fine and now wont entertain WPA

I agree very strange one. Tried changing wireless channel to a less congested one? The 360 "n" adapter uses "Wide Band" frequencies and is more susceptible to crosstalk with other channels / freq's.

Wifi Analyser on android is good for checking.

i did change the channel but i'll do a bit more digging
bloody phone logs on fine

newVM superhub works fine
weird but thats it
