General 2010 panda dash cam power

hello,
I have a fiat panda 2010 and considering what would be the best way to power my dashcam. I am thinking about tapping power from the dome light since it is closer. did anyone do a similar mod to tap power from the dome light and use a 12v to 5volt adapter?
