Technical 2009 EPC Woes

Hi all long time lurker!

I’ve got a 2009 Fiat panda 1.1

The power steering light has come on and the steering is extremely heavy, the codes that are up are battery voltage and power steering motor, if the codes are reset I have power steering again for 1 minute and then the column clicks and the light and heaviness returns, I’ve connected another battery and tested the voltage and all seems good.

Also power steering works for 10 seconds when first started and then an audible click happens and back to faulting.


Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check all earth points - battery, engine and steering motor.

Sounds like it will be a simple fix

Unfortunately there's quite a few different things cause the same error, save me writing them all again they are pretty much all covered here
