Technical 16v Sporting Misfiring

Hi All,

My first post to this wonderful site! My Mk2 Punto 16v Sporting is misfiring and hesitating, both are happening only during acceleration and below 4k revs. This problem only appears after the engine has warmed up. Main dealer can't find the problem (duh!). Any help gratefully accepted.

Spark plugs,
HT leads,
Ignition coil packs.

Mine has the same stupid problem, I did all three along with resetting the ECU and the problem persists.

I have been looking around the web and this seems to be a real common problems with these punto's, with answers from the fiat dealers along the lines of there's nothing that they can do because thats just how some fiat punto's are.

Well I want my car running well, I didn't buy it for a common problem.

I reckon it could be the lambda sensor so this is the next thing I intend to replace, and it's all time and money, which you don't expect to be spending on a two year old car.
