FYI finding the right locking tools for the 100hp is a minefield if you want the camshaft sprocket locking tool.
They are all made in the same factory it seems and changed their output sometime prior to Sept 2024, but all the sellers haven't updated their text description or pictures. Or at least that was my experience in October 2024. Sometimes they have updated their pictures but sometimes not. They will often, incorrectly state that the set is compatible with the 169 Panda 1.4L. That includes higher end sellers like Sealey.

The 100hp engine camshaft sprocket must have Fiat tool number 2000015800 (also written as 2.000.015.800), where the engine block has a hole for an M8 screw for the tool.
Most kits come with a copy of 2.000.004.200, which it entirely different in shape, and uses an M10 screw, which is an easy clue that it's wrong!

So for a 1.4L engine you want the kit labelled as V1 on the attached picture. Be aware many suppliers have changed to V2 so the camshaft sprocket tool is not compatible with the 1.4L engine in the 100hp.

Of course if you are just changing the belt, you don't strictly need the camshaft sprocket locking tool by sing the method of marking up the belt, sprocket etc.

Hopefully this info might help someone.

I ordered about 5 different kits and they were all wrong despite the descriptions and pictures. Fortunately I found an old kit 2nd hand on eBay with the right part.
I managed to get the right kit 🙏

Evening guys

Mate Changed the Cambelt on the 100hp (Along with water pump and thermostat) today.

I bought some new top and bottom plastic cam covers from Shop4parts but they done seem to fit right compared to the old ones. You can see from the photo that there is a bit of a gap! Would this be a problem or do I either need to re-do it again or go back to the original ones.

Also had a real hard time getting the new Cambelt on over the camshaft pulley - having to stretch it to get it on! Is this normal or should have had to slacken something to get it on easier! Concerned about issues further down the line if the belt has been damaged.

Any thoughts please guys

Not right, but there not perfect, but much better than this

No you don't have to spread them, there snug/tight if you don't undo anything else, I check the cam belt without undoing anything else

I suspect you problem will be somewhere here

The top cover has to go under the bottom cover, the clip may have gone the wrong side

The seem should be fairly flush

You can remove the top cover without undoing anything else but it's fairly snug

You need to press somewhere near the red dot to unclip, before lifting

From memory the cover doesn't come straight up, but you have to tilt it slightly to the rear of the car, I not sure this is strictly necessary or just the way it's come out for me

Thanks for the pics mate. I'll take a look at that cover today or over the weekend. The new (Genuine Fiat) Cambelt tensioner went in fine, but couldn't get the pin out to tension the belt in situ - so had to remove the tensioner and pull the pin and refit the tensioner back to the engine. Then it was a real struggle to get the Cambelt over the camshaft pulley.

I'm just concerned about the belt now. 😔
