Hello all! As per title, I'm after some advice please.

I bought my 100HP in late June '12. I have since done about 11,000 miles (from 31k to 42k).

Most of the miles have been on the motorway. I have regularly checked the oil and topped up about 1.5 litres. The oil is still pretty clean.

Should I service it now, or am I okay to wait until MOT time in late June? Will probably do another 1500 miles in that time.

I have always been a service once a year or 10k miles man, but feel that it is not necessary in this case quite yet!

Would be grateful for your views guys.

(Just to add - '08 plate, all other levels / fluids correct)

Cheers,
Dunc.

I think you may need to start thinking of belts and bearings at that age/mileage, I have a 07 100hp and had 40,000 when it got done. Hope that helps (y)

Going to book the 100HP in for a service and MOT next week. Will also get the cambelt done.

I take it the perceived wisdom is to have the water pump done at the same time?

Thanks again - Dunc.

Need to straighten out the above.

£300 for the pump & belt.

£219 for the 40k (major) service & MOT.

Big up to MOTEST in Merton, SW London. Fantastic job & car washed, waxed & valeted.

They are genuine car enthusiasts. Highly recommended!

PS, they LOVED the 100HP.

Looked absolutely mint when they'd polished her up. Black paint absolute gleaming!

Embarrassed me into planning to wash 'The Little One' more regularly!

Thats interesting to see your prices.
Mine is due in 300miles and i went to the fiat dealer at Crawley Down Group, and they quoted around the same.
Its handy for me as I can drop the car on thurs night, (24hrs at APH) and pick it up Sat morning.

Think those prices are pretty good, but it also comes down to whether you are happy with the garage in question.

I didn't want to go with Fiat, and went on a recommendation from a mate. I wasn't disappointed. There's still a lot to be said for 'word of mouth'.

Good luck. Cheers.

Just noticed you are in London, there is no way it will cost that much up here in t'north!

Well, good luck if you can get it cheaper.

It's a lot of work - major service, MOT, cambelt & water pump.

These guys are very competitive locally in that part of London.

I'm in Somerset at weekends and couldn't find much better down here.

There's also the trust factor. You need a garage you can trust to look after your pride & joy!

As I said, good luck with finding much cheaper!
