Hi there ive got the money now to put a 1.2 75bhp into my sei MS but ive been to parkers and they say that the mk2 1.2 is only 60bhp for the mpi, so will i have to get the mk1 engine to do this, because ive noticed that there are a few sensor on my engine that aint on the spi models

Thanks
Paul

The 1.2 8v mk2/mk2b engines are 60bhp although most show 63-64bhp on the rollers.

well will it be ok to put a mk1 engine in my car would it just be safer and easier to put in the mk2 but i know there is a different sensor on the cam cover.

Thanks for the replies

use the mk1, but retain your cam cover, manifold, and pulleys.

Personally I'd try and find a P75, use the MPI head and inlet mani, the 75 exhaust mani and downpipe (cat if you can get it) and pop the P75 cam in.

I think you'd need to swap the pulleys over and use a Sei MPI water pump (not checked).

The cat in manifold abomination on the MPI Sei wants to be binned (or sold on) and replaced by something more user friendly, anyway.

You should be able to fit a 16v TB on the 1108 MPI mani (some stuff by Kripit on doing that) which should give you around 75 cheap GGs.

That s pretty much what i said! :p i don't know the port sizes on the sei mpi, but seeing as tho it is unlikely he'll get a short engine, may as well keep the 75 head and use that. Saves farting about re shimming the cam. But then yes, like i said - use the manifolds and pulleys off the sei

Which is why i said to swap the cam cover over, thats the only difference :) not that the sei mpi actually uses the cam phase sensor for seq injection - well as far as i know it doesn't! Easier to swap the cam cover with sensor and pulley over than it is to reshim the 75 cam in the sei head
