Gaz that angel tuned jtd will eat a 1.6 bravo! ive chucked god knows how much at my 1.6's engine! (i can **** over 1.8s) and i stil stil struggles to keep up with his jtd! oh and as an indication of how my 1.6 runs i get 22mpg if i thrash it! where as tommy k is still getting 52mpg for the same speeds! ok tommy is ginger and he is fat but he is a good mate of mine and has been for years (lived with the git for 2 years)you have to take everything he says with a giggle as he is a bit of a character

I never timed the 0-60 but i no its sub 8 seconds cos Mr Melon is my mate with the 1.4 rover what does 0-60 in 8 seconds (check the vid)! and my bravo beat it to 60. The top end was 130mph so I doubt his supped up tractor would beat it

Nah seen as my car is totally standard an 03 and Im no where near cambrdigeshire I see your one of those guys who thinks hes a good driver and his car is "well fast" when he overtakes some one who is probably sticking to the speed limit and thinking your a complete muppet! only just read this thread but as has been said before Gaz you definately sound like someone with a chip on your shoulder, the clio cup cars are quick yes but you can't go slagging off diesels, seat and skoda have both won rally's with diesels so they cant be that slow really. and the fact that you cn get near 50mpg rather than 25mpg you gonna save yourself a shed load.

Anyways I use to work at a Diesel Injection garage (FDI in Rotherham) calibrating diesel cars so Its not like im talking about something I havnt got a little knowledge about. Diesel cars are not fast! There not responsive, they are not good at top end and compared to a similiar spec petrol will get there ass kicked (they handle like **** awell due to extra weight). If you want something fast and tunable get a Turbo petrol car, If you want something to drive round in whilst wearing a flat cap and pulling a caravan get a diesel! simple as
