Was driving in my Grande Punto today on some typically lousy Irish back roads (boggy area of County Offaly) and didn't notice the pretty abrupt mound/hump up ahead, only managed to slow down to about 50 or 60 km/h and car became slightly airborne going over it. Unpleasant noises upon touch-down, but I think it might have just been some motor oil and a funnel moving around in the boot. First time it has happened to me, although not the worst shock I have given to my springs (this car has taken some extraordinary hardship). Upon inspection, I don't think I can hear, see or feel anything wrong with the suspension. Everything is normal as far as I can tell (thankfully). Has this ever happened to anyone here? Any reason I should have a garage look at the springs? I don't believe the underside of the car made any contact with the tarmac, the GP has ample ground clearance so that's unlikely to ever be a problem.
