As per the title really, i was planning on trying it myself but im now in the situation of having to take it to my garage, anyone shed some light?
 
dead simple to change, save yourself money and just do it yourself, if i remember correctly, 4 bolts in total (calliper carrier for the pads and disc) then 2 locating bolts for the disc/wheel, you can get them changed within 15 mins with the correct tools (per side) unless you have a locating nut seize on at which point i took the angle grinder to it
 
i agree, dead easy to do. i used a small G clamp to push the piston back. should cost about £100-120 in parts. i found Brembo discs and pads on ebay for that sort of money

You'll need a brake rewind tool to give the pads enough room to fit and get the caliper back on. My fronts are on their last few mm so need changing soon as well, not hard to do at all, as long as you can rewind the piston :)

RattyStilo - I was wanting to ask: In your signature you have "lower braces" as a modification I'm guessing? What are they and could you point me in the direction of where to get them? :)
 
Brake piston rewind tool for the rears, on the fronts you can just push the piston back, personally I use a woodworkers G-Clamp.

Keep an eye on the brake fluid in the reservoir... I take the lid off before pushing the pistons back, you really don't want brake fluid on the paint under the bonnet.

If the fluid looks to be about to spill I drain a little out using a turkey baster!

If you already remove the calliper and realise you have no G clamp, a good strong piece of wood, patience and a bit of elbow grease will get them back in.
 
i bought a wind-back tool 2 years ago for the mother-in-law's volvo, so i just use that, dead simple and the kit comes with left and right hand thread so it's perfect for the stilo

Copper based grease is better on brakes lmao!
