hi, would there be any point re mapping a 1.6 stilo? i bought the car 2 weeks ago and its had loads done to it, different cams, full stainless, k&n and probably more ( just cant see anything else).
as its had all that done to it would there be any point in mapping it or would it not make hardly any difference? thanks

If its it power you want then you should get the 1.9 Mjet or the Schumacher. The little power maybe 6-10 bhp from a re-map isnt worth it unless its beer money or somethin

thats what i thought, dont want to be making that mistake again, like you said its better on a turbo diesel or a petrol turbo engine, twice as much torque that way.
thanks

I have a 1.6 active sport aswell but i dont have the colour coded door handles or side protectors :(

I looked into remapping but found it was a waste of money for a 1.6, only thing i bothered to do is a GSR induction kit.

I would love the Schumacher edition but in the future i plan to get a new punto abarth

Welcome to the CrystalGreen crew (y) JTD_Liam knows I'm talking about. Best colour for a Stilo IMO.

Don't remap the 1.6 - not much point dude, use the money to get a set of Fiat 17" Blades and that will finish the car right off.

I spoke to one of the guys at Red Dot back when we had that Gaydon meet about re-mapping the 1.6 and he quite bluntly (and honestly) told me there was no point, especially without a turbo as the gains were going to be un-noticable, compared to spending the same money on a turbo diesel. At the time i believe they had a turbo diesel punto demo car, pushing 220BHP.

I had my 1.6 remapped by Angel Tuning. I didn't do it for more power or torque, but to make the engine smoother, particularly at low revs and when pulling away from rest, to eliminate juddering and hesitation. It achieved what I wanted beautifully...

do you have any pics of your stilo? the gsr is a good induction kit,

There was a stilo on flea-bay a week or so ago which was breaking, which said "alloys avaiable" in the title. They were the 17 blades. Might be worth a look. They are the best alloys for the Stilo IMO.

this is my pain in the arse - left as standard so any ideas r welcome
