Right, wiring for CN+ is practically done; the timer delay we made works perfectly, and cost a total of £12. Took the earth from the main stereo earth and the +12V ignition from the air con panel; took the wrapping off the loom and re-wrapped everything up so it all looks original. Microphone feed is in there too, and the GPS/GSM wiring is almost done (done "My Car" to Sat Nav, and the other end goes from "My Car" to the boot, where it's waiting until I get an antenna and we'll put it together).

Has anyone who has retrofitted this found a cheaper way of doing the microphone and antenna, or is it another £200? Noticed the Lancia Ypsilon has a similar microphone part to the Stilo: Stilo's is £45, Ypsilon's is £4.10!!!

I'm just going to be a duffus, and ask, All this "Installing your own CN+" Are the instructions for installing it to cars with DZ Climate control or to cars with just Air Con?? I know i'm a duffus but heeey :)

Now up in the Guide Section, am editing as I go, should all be fully complete soon. Has some background information if anyone is thinking of fitting the unit to their Stilo . . . it's not as scary as it sounds though! :)

Another bit of news . . .

Not wanting to spend the £45 on the Stilo microphone, I tried many others to no avail (all free). So, I thought I'd bite the bullet and buy it.

However, being clever :)D), I searched ePER one night and noticed that the same trim part on the Lancia Ypsilon where the microphone goes on the Stilo was £3.80, with the (263,903,904) CN+ options. For the sake of £4 I thought I'd order one.

It arrived this morning, and apart from being beige and not grey, is identical to the Stilo microphone and trim we ordered for the Schumi. So, having already got the header console with Alarm sensors, I took the microphone from the Lancia part and installed it in mine; car is at the dealers as we speak so I will be testing it later.

Parts Manager reckons it's a c**k up on the parts prices, ooh yeah :D

Hi, im trying to adapt a nav+ of alfa brera 2006 in my fiat stilo jtd 2003, i found some problem, when i conect the 12v+ that is needed to the activation, the sistem ask me for the code, i put the original code, and the sistem shows "configuration of your car is not avaiable" and the sistem dont shows velocity, consumption, km done, etc... but if i change somthing like the language, the sistem changes in the car and in the lcd of the dashboard the language too...

somthing have changed his gps for other compatible car?

im getting crazy to do that the sistem works :bang:

thanks a lot¡¡

Re: Connect Nav+ Installation

I found an easier way to connect the switched +12V from pin 4 / connector A:
remove the inner lining of the upper glove compartment (2 screws) - on the left (right side of the Connect system) there is a white connector with a lightblue/green stripe lead. This is the switched power for the air recirculation switch and is on a very short distance from the connector of the Connect system! It has already a fuse of 7.5A which is a good value for the Connect.
I tested it and it works 100% reliable !
The instrument cluster doesn't have to be removed in this case.
good luck,
yellowstilo

Oops - I just realized that cars in the UK have the (upper) glove box on the left side - so I guess the connector might be on the left side of the Connect unit in that case ??

where i must connect a microphone ?? can you make a foto to wich pins i must connect them ??

Going to be doing this for the 4th time soon, and we've come up with a way of saving a few quid again.

If you purchase the GPS/GSM antenna from an Alfa 159, it comes with enough cable to take you to the back of the "My Car" panel, pre-wired. This'll save you the £55 for the "mid-section" loom. The aerial itself is £85 cheaper so thats £140 saved :D.

Another new Stilo freak here. Looking to get the Connect Nav+ in my 2005 3 door JTD Stilo. And they are few things which I can't understand:
1) Which one is "pin number 4"? A picture of the conector with that wire will be very helpful.
2) What "My Car" is??? A picture if it will be again very helpful
3) How to make the delay thingy. Also a picture will say more then 1000 words. Thanks in advance for any help.

the my car panel is to the right of the steering wheel (left if you're steering wheel is on the left) (AFAIK), adjust head lights, clocks, speed limiter etc with that.

I've managedto connect everything now but something si wrong.
As soon as I've connected the CN+ to power and speakers the unit started on radio without to ask me for any security code or something like that but the Display Is Completely BLACK!!!! Any1 any idea why?
