Posts: 20 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | ![]() Found this Forum whilst looking for info on the many faults i've encountered with my Stilo and thought i'd share some of the details with you all... Well where do i begin.. Today 17/08/2004 my 1.9JTD MultiWagon is back at the dealers for another two days, this is now the 12th time its been back since i bought it..... How long have i had it i hear you shout, 3 Months..... Its a 53/2003 Dynamic, here's a list of the probs so far... Air bag warning light on.... now been back 7 times for this front tyre wear... tracking reset and 2 new tyres after 8000 miles fiat paid 50% Noisey clutch .. now fixed Noisey rear door check straps.. replaced once but back in today to replaced again.. Rear washer didn't work from when i got it... took 4 visits to get it fixed the last one they took down all of the roof lining and replaced the pipe feeding the washer jet. Oh and left me with dirty oily finger prints and hand prints all over the roof lining, 2 further vists to get the lining cleaned properly.. Sky roof leaks.. back into today for that as well Sat Nav 'screeches' (spelling?) as the voice prompts kick in... back in for that today Brakes are noisey when you reverse Radio reception is crap.. And i musn't forget the 2 big scratches the garage put in the back door the last but one time they had it, again this was for 2 days... Love the car but hate the dealership... Jojo42.. Stilo Multiwagon 1.9 JTD Dynamic with Sh*t loads of toys... ![]()

I get great reception on my radio. 10k miles on my tyres and they less than half worn, air bag light has never given me any problems. I do have a squeek from the rear brakes when reversing, which ive mumped about to Arnold Clark, but they've done nowt! Not all Stilo's are totally cursed, some are only lightly hexed! ![]()

A recent change in the law says that any fault that develop in the first 6 months are deemed to be there on delivery. I would push for a new car if you can. I agree with DOG though, the dealers take far too many attempts to fix what seem like simple problems. I think half the problem is that they don't know the cars. Everytime I go to the dealer I insist on speaking to a mechanic and take him to the car and point out every fault and get them to agree it is an issue and a solution to fix it. cmc

None of those faults will make the car unfit for purpose, the doors squeek but they open and work, tyres wear out, depends on model/driving style how quickly. Air bag light came on, but the airbag never deployed. Back wiper isn't essential to car opperation. Squeeky brakes, but they work. Squalky sat nav, but it works! So none of that stuff would give full grounds for rejection. The garage could have replaced the car, but is often the case he could have been stung with a big fee for replacement of the car. Read it in Auto Express the other week. Its worth sticking to it, keep hastling the garage, i went through the same hell, and i had a reason to reject, i only had 1 working door for several weeks! But now my car is a happy chappy, and so am i!

Even though i have been back a fair few times the service is always excellent and they usually come up with the goods, big up PRIORY FIAT, SOUTHWELL ROAD, MANSFIELD, NOTTS.
