hi my car has recently decided to keep warning me that the asr is not working but then it goese away again every time. also it only ever does it when my husband drives it! before this the air bag fail light kept doing it but again has stopped! is this a common problem, i did hear that electrics can be a bit of a pain on fiats, but still bought it!

What car are you talking about here?

all 4 tyres must be the same size to keep the traction control happy, and all 4 wheel sensors must be reading clean phonic wheels.

a diagnosis will tlel you the problem, but if the light has switched off then ignore it, once the light remains on for several days then you shoud get it diagnosed to retrieve fault codes that will tell you the problem.

hi it is an 03 stilo abarth, the light has gone off now but no doubt will be back on soon!

Hi. I used to have a Stilo 1.6 Dynamic and the warning lights were always blinking on and off. The air bag warning light is simple to fix (i'm sure there is a thread about it on here) it is located under the front passenger seat and can get knocked by feet which can loosen the connection. Apparently if you pull the wires out and find the connecter clean it with a bit of WD40 and clip it back together again that should cure it. Make sure you try and hide the wires in the seat base away from feet. I don't advise you try this unless you can find the thread on here which tells you how to do it and it'll give you pictures to. As for the ASR mine used to come on for a day then go off and so on and so forth. I wouldn't worry about it until it stays on for an extended period of time. I'm lead to believe the wiring on older Stilos is quite fragile and when the facelifed it they changed the wiring to make it more reliable. Obviously with yours being the Abarth it's stacked with luxury electronic kit and your more likely to have problems.

I tried that multiplug trick and had no such luck!!!! But then i have the arbarth!!! So any ideas on where i can go next???

I had this problem too. Once I'd got the tyres changed and balanced they went forever
