Getting a bit sad about my 43k 08 90 scudo , its broken down again !

similar to last time .

something has come adrift at the rear of the engine , loud exhaust noise and exhaust fumes entering cab , drop in preformance .

The exhaust pipe is in one piece ,

there was a sensor replaced aprox 6 months ago , same noise when it fell off .

not able to find any images and lack of lift means i cant see up behind engine , tried to see from top with all the plastic removed but cant see source of noise and black soot .

is there some kind of "mixing valve " that recirculates the exhaust gasses back to engine ?

Has any one else had a similar problem

Will try to get it seen at one of the fiat garages tommorrow morning under waranty ,

It was in for 8 days last time (not good when your self employed) without a courtesy motor !

wont sleep without knowing what has fallen off , any ideas welcome

Get it to dealer ASAP, keep us updated.

it packed in on the motorway yesterday morning as expected .

you were right it was the EGR valve, it had blown the circular disc out (found it on my drive and took it in to garage later)

they have ordered a new one along with a wiring loom and sensor and a pipe to the turbo !

looks like the exact same repair that was carried out last year , Any one else had similar problem ?

Got scud back from garage today

Running great

Treated it to a new set of wheels
