hi all,
i have a fiat scudo 1.9 multijet, 14 months old, 12500 miles on clock.
after having it serviced a couple of weeks ago my mechanic (i took it in because i was concerned about the brakes being a bit spongy) he said that the pads weren't releasing from the discs as quickly as they should and that as it's still under warranty he did no more work and suggested i get it looked over by them.
its booked in for tomorrow (if i can get it there), problem is after 10 mins the brakes seem to stick on and not release, usually for between 15 - 40 minutes before they seem to release and work ok for the duration of the remainder of the journey.
i'm concerned that fiat will try and fob me off with some technical gibberish that i don't understand and try not to do the work under warranty, my mechanic says the pads and discs and sound.
i s this a common problem? or am i just unlucky?
also if the admit that there has been a problem thats to be rectified under warranty, should i insist on a new set of pads? is that pushing my luck? or do you think that i have a case, seeing that they have had un-due wear and tear due to a technical issue.
cheers all.
hope someone can steer me in the right direction.
andy.
