Ive a 2005 Scudo 2.0 JTD normally when stating the engine management lamp comes on for a second then goes out at the same time theres a buzzing noise from underneath which im assuming is the fuel pump and van starts, the other day the light didnt come on the temp needle bounces from low to high three times and the van wouldnt start, after about an hour the light came on then went off and it started and was fine till this morning. Now when trying to start light is not coming on at all, temp needle bounces three times and van will not start can anyone suggest what the problem may be?

a year ago mine did the same had to get a new ecu thankfully still under warranty

Lucky it was warranty! Turns out MY van had a loose earth connection and dirty relay contacts (double-relay). Easy fix (eventually)....

my scudo started not to start - had it looked at by Lloyd of Clovertech in dagenham - its the fuel pump pressure falling as the pump is failing. Usually starts from cold but after that it wont start. Hope this is not your problem as well - the fuel pump costs £650

Thankfully my problem is now resolved - although I'd prefer to fit a NEW relay instead of the cleaned-up one I'm re-using.
