Hi my 1.6 cabrio has just had a new engine and gearbox but I can't get it back from the garage because the reversing lights are constantly on ?! Anyone with an idea out there ?

I take it it's not an automatic?

If manual, the switch for the reversing lights is on the front top of the gearbox -- 2 wires. Just unplug the connector and the light will probably go off.

But if you paid for it, get the folk who fitted it to sort it.

They probably should know to do this if they're competent!?

New sensor is about £10 but if they've just changed the engine and box they should be able to get the sensor from your old kit,
