hiya one and all,
has anybody any ideas if i can replace the plastic headlight covers as mine have gone cloudy or if there is a way i can clean them?.will t cut work etc, cheers again j

cheers mate will give it a try,i think the outer covers come of dont they?

ive tried getting the lenses off and failed
i have noted that you can weld lugs back on and the polycarbonate lenses can take more heat than the black plastic so keep meaning to experiment with sitting one in a tub of boiling water to loosen the sealant like i could on old fords
i before now have washed the lights out inside then left them to dry with the lenses facing downwards for a couple of days
i also occasionaly use g5 ferecla and a buffing machine (white pad) if the lens has deterioated on the outside
hth

I too have the same problem would be interested to know if there is an easy solution.

Only noticed it today when polishing the car and polish doesnt help... (y) (not tcutted though)

i did mine what ever u do, do NOT use cutting compound it makes things 10 times worse lol i tryed loads and loads of tecniques to do it and only one worked

DO NOT!!:
*use wet and dry paper
*use cutting compound
*scrub with a rough cloth
*use solvents

i used a thing called meguiars plastx only thing that seemed to work for me just apply a couple of dots of it and use a buffer or buffer attachment on a drill and buff it out...need to do it about 2 times to get it perfectly clean but works a treat like brand new :)

Wet dry is ok if you have the kit to polish out the fine scratches. But only needed if the lens is badly marked.

The lens can be cut off with a Dremmel and restuck with electronics grade silicone. While on the case take out the orange lens and use an orange bulb.

might as well put some sporting driving lights in there too at the same time then when lenses have their lobotomy:D
