Ok, my car is a Fiat Punto mk2 (1.2 8v S - 2000) and my seat is leaning to the right, and that is not that great for my back. But how do I remove the seat, so I can replace it? Here I mean the airbag wires.

I've tried to find out what is wrong with the seat, but it's like something is missing, since it "tilt" the right. Plus it's making annoying sounds all the time..

Hope ye' guys and gals can help..

Theres only 4 bolts that hold the seat down 5 or 6 mm allen key bolts im sure its only a simple connecter for the air bag wiring..? The seat is really easy to remove move the seat fully forward take out the rear bolts, move fully back and do the front when refitting the seat rail pulling the lever up and move the rail to align the bolt holes.

Hi-

New to the board, but I have the same problem on my 2002 HGT Abarth. Did you ever manage to fix your seat? Thanks.

Heheh, well, no actually.. Haven't got any time to fix it. Now my seat is really f**cked up. To say it nice.. I can't lift my seat in a higher position anylonger. But in the weekend, I will have someone to check it out..

Disconnect the battery, wait about 45 minutes, then disconnect the airbag wiring plug. Wait another 15 minutes just to be on the safe side.

Hope this helps.

believe me it takes quite a lot to set an airbag off!!

I think you need an accumulator to produce the P.D. to set it off (we had a right job settting one off with a car battery, ended up needing to use a big capacitor that weighed about 2kg)

Any sign of a broken weld anywhere?

Yes, we found two places where it was broken. Plus some kind of "lift" in the middle was off. We welded it, and sat the lift back (was tricky). Now it works again.. We didn't have too unplug the airback. There was enough working space.
