Hi,

I have a 2004 mk2B 1.2 16V. My instrument cluster is from a speedgear version, but my car is manual transmission, so I have gearbox failure every time i turn on ignition, and constant flashing gearbox warning light - pretty normal I guess. I couldn't yet find an instrument cluster from manual transmission donor, but I found one from an 1.4 16V
Would it be possible to proxi align it with my BSI? Or would it be possible to disable the automatic transmission function from the current instrument cluster?
My cluster is UK type, with miles on the faceplate. I have one instrument cluster with km, but that one won't proxi align.
Any help would be appreciated!

i used to try and break things to learn on these puntos
you wont do any damage by trying but keep an extinguisher near just in case;)

Needs to be from same generation
So mk2 needs a mk2

And mk2b needs a mk2b as they are different

You need same spec too

So if yours has abs and manual setup - the donor needs to be abs and manual

Its not easy to cancel out other modules as its asking for data it cant ppssibly recieve like yours looking for an auto box when it dont exsist....

Ok, but can i proxi a dash from a mk2b 1.4 16V manual transmission into mk2b 1.2 16v manual transmission? ABS can be turned off, i already tried that.
