Hi. this is my first time so please be patient. Since I've had my 2004 Fiat Punto I've had problems with my central locking. It works fine locking the car from the passenger door but not the drivers door. I've taken the door panel off, checked the wiring plug connections to the lock. When I traced the wiring back to the ECU I noticed there is a Laserline SLH 310 remote locking for which I've have no controller for. I was wondering if this could be causing the problem with the drivers door. Without control for the Laserline I see no purpose in keeping it so if anyone could give me advice on disconnecting it I would be very thankful!

Hi Ziggy122. When I bought the car there was only a manual key. The previous lady owner lost the remote key. The interior lights work with the key also the electric window work.

pull the multiplug out of the laserline or a fuse if it has one
this should be piggybacking the remote locking system so shouldnt interfere with normal central locking
im assuming its not an immobilisor too
if this fails to help your problem suspect that either drivers lock mechanism worn or the link from the key lock to mechanism isnt faulty or wrong
or thirdly there isnt a to earth issue with wiring loom, first place to look would be in loom from door to a post

Hi S and B, thanks for the advice. I think you've hit on the right note. It appears when operating the key in the door there's insufficient movement to operate the lock mechanism. when operating the lever by hand its working. many thanks
