Hello, i was wondering if someone can help please

I have a 52 plate punto jtd 1.9, had it for a bout 5 1/2 and had no problems.

I was driving back from the inlaws today, doing about 60mphs and all of a sudden the dashboard lit up, (all the lights came on) for about 2 seconds, all the gages (petrol, speedo etc) dropped to 0, and the clock and trip computer reset themselves. The car never stalled or stopped! :bang:

My drivers airbag warning light has been on for a few days, and im waiting to book it into the garage (waiting for pay day)!

Any ideas what could be up? Or if anyone else has experienced this?

These sort of faults have Happened before
And to be honest there is no real explanation of them

the Resetting of the clocks but engine running may indicate a loose connection or a Failing wire cutting the power supply

I'd also check the earthing points - remove - Abrade - Clean - Grease to high hell - refit
