Hi,

I have a Punto 04 Active.
Sometimes when I leave my car to idle at Traffic lights etc... it will start to vibrate then stop then vibrate. Like every 2 seconds it will do this, when I add a few revs it stops until the revs drop and it will do it again.

It seems to be the engine that vibrates then seems like it cuts out but will carry on and vibrate again, from the exhaust you can hear the car almost cutting out each time but it doesn't.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

no idea, if the engine warning lights not coming on then as far as the engine management computer is concerned its running fine.
since its so new still its not worth messing about with yourself, get it in the garage under waranty.

If it's anything like the setup on a cinq i had similar problems but it turned out to be just a little tube that goes to a sensor that got disconnect i will try and find a pic!

hmm have something simalr on my 2001 sporting. every so often i will sit at ligyht and engine will pulse can see rev needle flicking up and down. no warning lights and car runs fine paasses mot's and nothing found on servicing so i just except itlol

Might get it looked at but they probably won't find anything, thanks for replies.
