Hi! Had my Head Gasket changed about one week ago but am still experiencing a funny water running sound from the front of the car when i move off from a standing start. This doesn't seem to happen every time I move from a standing start but definately does happen some times?? I am confused as I thought this would go away with head gasket replacement. Any other ideas guys please help me I like my punto 1.2 8v elx 2000 (w) reg!!

that noise is probly air in the heater matrix, most likly the cooling system was not bleed correctly when the hg was changed.

does that mean it will go away after a while or will I need to get the cooling system bled properly???? Also my engine never seems to tick over smoothly, every now and again there is a small judder nothing major....any suggestions?

I had the same noise before I had my Head Gasket replaced and I have exactly the same model as you. But when I had the gasket replaced the noise stopped. Although I do have the small judder when I am stationary.

the way i would bleed it is put the heater on hot, run the engine with the rad cap off. undo the back bleed screw on pipe too heater matrix, bleed out the air and close, open the front bleed screw on the rad bleed out air and close then let the fan cut in twice before putting the cap back on.
